Andy Baerselman
Andy Baerselman lives and works in Lymington, with his workshop situated alongside those of fellow Coastal Gallery artists and designers Michael Turner, Will Rochfort and Jo Vane — a vibrant hub of creativity and invention.
After leaving Brockenhurst College Sixth Form, Andy studied Agricultural Engineering at Rycotewood College in Thame, Oxfordshire. Restless for adventure, he travelled extensively across America and Australia before returning to the UK. A brief spell selling agricultural machinery confirmed that a salesman’s life wasn’t for him, and Andy taught himself carpentry, becoming a self‑employed carpenter‑builder. Over time, he became increasingly drawn to the design aspects of his projects.
After more than two decades working with wood, Andy made a natural transition into sculpting, becoming a full‑time sculptor in 2015. His work is now sought after by designers and owners of world‑class superyachts, reflecting both his craftsmanship and his distinctive creative vision.
